Immagina Florence International Film Festival awards
Yesterday, Saturday 22 October, the award ceremony of the finalists participating in the international film festival organized by the historic School of Cinema Immagina took place in Florence. The long selection – which had the peculiarity of having been managed entirely by the students of the school – saw the participation of over 100 films from all over the globe. It is no coincidence that this work of director Nam Nguyen (“Neverland”) arrives from Vietnam. Shot during the 2020 Lockdown in Australia, the short movie I composed the soundtrack and edited the Italian subtitled version for and which earned the prize for the BEST ORIGINAL SONG (an effervescent electro-pop song very far from my usual production).
The surprise for me is not over, given that another work, Italian, competing inside the horror category (“Two Sisters”, directed by Diego Carli) for which I composed the soundtrack, the main theme e a little part of the sound design besides being awarded for the BEST HORROR, it also won inside the BEST ORIGINAL SCORE section.
